Hello and happy Monday!

I’m having a latte and settling behind my desk for some dose of writing. But first, a song for you. Today, honoring the late Sir George Martin, named as the fifth Beatle by many, I wanted to share with you one song he produced with The Beatles, Love Me Do. It’s still one of my favorite songs.

Sir Martin has left a monumental legacy, which will keep his love for music, life and work with us forever.

Which Beatles song is your favorite? What have you been listening to lately?

Let me know in the comments below.

Wishing you a lovely day, read you all tomorrow on my Titillating Tuesday’s post.

Love,
Madison

Hello and happy Monday!

The Spring is just around the corner, I am telling you.  I escaped the hustle and bustle of a big city and enjoyed a quiet writer’s retreat that looked like this.  Sunny, green and very inspiring.  Each time I take a weekend off and go to some remote place, where I can forget about emails, phone, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and all the things that we all can’t live without, I realize how much perspective it gives me, how much clarity and inspiration.  I am now ready for the new week of writing (and I’m planning my next writing retreat as well!).

Today I wanted to share with you a song by Jim James, Take Care of You. Beautiful song, you can find it on the soundtrack of No Escape movie (I saw it and I was pretty stressed the entire time of watching it, talking about intensity…).

So here is the song, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Have a fantastic week!

Hello and happy Monday!

You’ve probably heard this question many times today – but, have you watched the Oscars? Who were your winners? I have a tradition with my girlfriends, we get together on the Oscar night, get dressed up, and have our own ‘gala’. Wine is poured, and snacks are served. It’s a fabulous night, and I look forward to it each year!

On today’s Music Monday column I can’t share with you the Academy Award Winner for Best Original Song at the Oscar’s 2016, because I have shared it already; it’s the beautiful song by Sam Smith, Writing’s On The Wall. But, I will share with you the Academy Award Winner for the Best Score, The Hateful Eight by Ennio Morricone. It is a fantastic soundtrack, I love listening it as a background when reading, writing, or just doing something where I need to concentrate. Listen to it below.

On this leap day, I’ll end with this: We all have an extra day this year – use it with intention!

Röyksopp

Hello and happy Monday!

Today I’m drinking a cinnamon latte and listening to Röyksopp.  How was your Valentine’s Day weekend?  I hope you spent it with people you love.  If you’re single – like me – I hope you shared love with your family and friends, but most of all, that you gave yourself lots of love.  Because you deserve it!

I started my Valentine’s celebrations on Thursday, at the Boudoir Stories book reading event at The Art of Loving in Vancouver.  You had so many amazing questions and I am honestly grateful for your interest and participation.  On Friday I met my dearest friends for a glass of wine, Saturday I spent with my family, and on Sunday we strolled around Vancouver and then cuddled at home with my lovely and furry Pippa.

I always feel that after Valentine’s Spring is just around the corner.  As if all the talking about love will melt all the snow and chase the winter away. Who knows, maybe love (and Spring) is just around the corner?

Today I share with you Röyksopp and What Else is There?

Love,
Madison

Hello and happy Monday!

Today I’m drinking a nice warm latte and enjoying the lovely holiday morning here in Vancouver.  I love Mondays that feel like Sundays, don’t you?

February has been good to me so far. I’ve finally starting to feel better after my over a month long cold, and it feels great to not have a sore throat!  If you’re near Vancouver this Thursday, January 11, 2016, don’t miss to visit me at the Art of Loving Store, where I’ll be doing a reading from some of my books.  Get more information about the event here.  I’d love to meet you in person!

Today I’d like to share with you a song by Laura Veirs, July Flame.

Happy Monday,
