Hello and happy first day and first Monday in February!

It’s a lovely day in Vancouver, and I’m drinking a cup of delicious Japanese green tea, Tamaryokucha. I love it for its light grassy taste that lingers in my mouth gently long after I’ve had it.  It also keeps me focused.  It’s my morning ritual; I have my cup of tea and write and write.

Today I’m listening to Death Cab For Cutie.  I’ve loved this band for a while, and my reader Wilbur expressed the desire to feature a song on this column, so here it is: Little Wanderer by Deat Cab For Cutie.

I wish you a fabulous start of the week!

small-blackHello and happy Monday!

I hope you’re having a great start of the week!  My dog Pippa took me for a nice walk this morning, and I’m now sitting in my writing studio, drinking hot Chai Latte and getting ready to do some writing.  But first, here’s our Music Monday column.  Today I’d like to share with you a music recommendation by my reader Wilbur, he says “Boys Life”, a song by New Yorkers Small Black, is one of his latest musical discoveries, and he loves listening to them when reading Madison Lake’s romance novels.  Thank you, Wilbur, for this lovely recommendation!

On another note, if you are in Vancouver on February 11th this year, save the date for my Boudoir Stories book reading at The Art of Loving, an adult store and sex shop based in Vancouver. The event is free, but please signup here, so we know how many guests to expect.

Until then, have a fabulous Monday! If you’d like to recommend your favorite song that you like to read or write along with, please send it to me at madlakepages @

Hello, happy Monday y’all!

It’s a cloudy day in Vancouver and I’m sipping a big cup of a hot lemongrass tea with lots of lemon.  Can you believe that I’ve been dealing with my cold for 5 weeks already!  I’m ready to move on, that’s for sure!

Today I’m working on my re-vamped Titillating Tuesday column – just come back tomorrow and you’ll see! 🙂

I am listening to the Cactus Channel and Chet Faker – Kill the Doubt. I love Chet Faker and this new collaboration sounds fabulous as well!

I wish you all a fantastic new week!

Dear all,

Another Monday has arrived and I believe I’m not far off to say that this is probably one of the saddest Mondays for music lovers… Last night the news about David Bowie’s passing, after battling cancer for 18 months, has wrapped the listeners around the world in sorrow.  A true icon and legend, who will always live with us through his music, Bowie is the man who elevated his music to what can only be described as an art form.

Rolling Stone magazine described him and his work “As was the case with Miles Davis in jazz, Bowie has come not just to represent his innovations but to symbolize modern rock as an idiom in which literacy, art, fashion, style, sexual exploration and social commentary can be rolled into one.”

Ashes to ashes, dust to stardust. Your brilliance inspired us all. Farewell, Starman.

Hello and happy Monday, first beautiful Monday of 2016!

I hope you enjoyed wonderful December holidays and are ready to take on the year 2016 passionately and fiercely!  I was down with a bad cold for most of the holidays, but I am recuperating slowly and hope to be back on my feet before the weekend.

Today I wanted to share with you a song Inside Out by the glamorous Imelda May.

Enjoy and happy 2016!
